Teaser Trailer
May 12th, 2006Here it is folks. The teaser trailer.
I’d like to thank Stacy for providing the voice for the trailer. She has an amazing delivery and it gave me chills to hear it all come together.
Music is provided by Brad Sucks, and his song Time to Take Out the Trash. Find out more about Brad Sucks at his homepage, bradsucks.net.
Hopefully this’ll give y’all an idea of where we are going with our podio-drama.
Please post all the comments you want. As this is my first production I need all the critisisms I can get, both good and not so good.
Thanks.

That’s pretty good. Stacy’s voice gets totally overpowered by the music around the 1 minute mark and I could barely hear her say “Heimdall”.

Wow… I mean… Wow. Aside from the odds, that can easily be fixed, that was really good. That’s a really good narrator. Better then some random guy narrating the beginning. It’s a lot better with a crew member narrating.
Great job.

I love the concept, but I have to say that the music doesn’t really fit the feel of Firefly to me. Too much rock, not enough western ballad to me. If I might suggest, check out “Into The Drift” by the Bedlam Bards:

These songs are a lot closer to the ideal for an audio drama set in the ‘Verse, and I imagine you could probably get permission from them to use their songs if you appeal to their Browncoat side.
I still like the concept, though, and I look forward to seeing it grow and develop.
Keep It Up,

Oops, I meant “On The Drift”.

It sounded pretty gosh darn good!
I somewhat agree with you, Flynn. The Westerny type music seems more Firefly-ish.
Once things get running more smoothly, I may have come across a good place to get the word out. I have a Firefly/Serenity fan group added on my Myspace and they make bulletin posts for people wanting to advertize their home-grown Firefly projects. It’d be a good place to start, I think.

Wow, the trailer sounded really great. I liked the ‘rock’ music as it gave a rough edge to the whole concept. It’s not about being ‘perfect,’ it’s about life “on the raggedy edge” and the feel was, for want of a better word “Perfect.”
Keep up the good work and stay SHINY
